Important Steps for Completing Your Camera-ready Submission

For VLSI-SoC 2017, the proceedings will be published in IEEE Xplore with IEEE holding the copyright. All final manuscripts must be submitted in an electronic format which conforms to IEEE Templates AND is compliant with IEEE eXpress. To submit your camera-ready paper, please complete the following important steps:

Step One: Complete Your IEEE Copyright Form

For each paper, an IEEE copyright form must be completed, signed, and emailed to the publications co-chairs Jose Monteiro at jcm@inesc-id.pt and Jerald Yoo at jyoo@nus.edu.sg.

Step Two: Add the IEEE Copyright Notice to Your Manuscript

The same IEEE templates can be used for the final submissions but before creating your PDF file, please add the IEEE copyright notice to the bottom left corner of the first page of your manuscript according to the following rules:

  • For papers in which all authors are employed by the US government, the copyright notice is:
    U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright.
  • For papers in which all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia), the copyright notice is:
    978-1-5386-2880-5/17/$31.00 ©2017 Crown
  • For papers in which all authors are employed by the European Union, the copyright notice is:
    978-1-5386-2880-5/17/$31.00 ©2017 European Union
  • For all other papers, the copyright notice is:
    978-1-5386-2880-5/17/$31.00 ©2017 IEEE

Step Three: Revise and Thoroughly Proofread your Manuscript to Confirm It Will Require No Further Revision

The maximum page limit of six pages will be strictly enforced.

Step Four: Generate the Final PDF File and Verify IEEE Xplore Compatibility

To verify the IEEE Xplore PDF compatibility of your final manuscript, log in to the IEEE PDF eXpressTM site. First-time users should do the following:

  1. Select the New Users – Click Here link.
  2. Enter the following:
    • 41831X for the VLSI-SoC 2017 Conference ID
    • Your email address
    • A password
  3. Continue to enter information as prompted.

An online confirmation will be displayed and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup.

Previous users of PDF eXpress need to follow the above steps, but should enter the same password that was used for previous conferences. Verify that your contact information is still valid.

Step Five: Upload Your Clean PDF File on EasyChair

A proceedings submission link on EasyChair has been created for each accepted paper. Please use it to upload your camera-ready manuscript. The upload deadline is July 27, 2017.

Step Six: Register as Author

To appear in IEEE Xplore, each accepted paper has to be covered by at least one full author registration. Please visit RegistrationAuthor’s registration deadline is August 15, 2017.
